LONDON EVENT FLORIST

The Journal

Flowers, London, weddings, events and the occasional bit of advice we've picked up after more than 20 years of doing this. Some of it is beautiful. Some of it is practical. And some of it is simply a look behind the scenes at how these things actually come together.

Latest from The Journal

Weddings, flowers, installations, London projects and a few things we've learned along the way.
EVENTS & INSTALLATIONS

Something Fresh and Different

Hundreds of flowers, every colour we could get our hands on and an old-fashioned English tea party. This was never going to be a particularly restrained job.

EVENTS & INSTALLATIONS

The Power of Pink

Sometimes one colour is enough. A look at what happens when you stop treating pink as an accent and let it take over properly.

Three women wearing matching black t-shirts with white text on the back are gathered around a table displaying large clusters of fresh yellow lemons in white planters. The setting is outdoors in front of a stone building.
BEHIND THE SCENES

BEHIND THE FLOWERS

More than twenty years of learning what actually works

After more than twenty years working with flowers, you pick up quite a lot that never makes it onto a care card or into a floristry book.

You learn which flowers are worth buying that week, which ones look beautiful but behave terribly, how quickly a large room can swallow an arrangement and why something that looks enormous in the studio can suddenly look tiny when it arrives at the venue.

The Journal is where we can share some of that.

Sometimes it'll be a wedding or installation we particularly loved. Sometimes it'll be something useful about flowers. And sometimes it'll simply be a look at what actually happens behind the finished photograph.

The finished flowers are only ever part of the story.

The bits you don't normally see once the finished photographs appear.

A large, elegant floral arrangement featuring blush pink and cream roses, white baby's breath, and green eucalyptus stems in a clear glass vase, styled on a marble table next to a stack of books in a softly lit room.
