Planning wedding flowers shouldn't involve guessing what everything costs. This guide shares our real starting prices, what different budgets can realistically achieve, and where I believe your money makes the biggest difference.
How much do wedding flowers cost in London?
Personal wedding flowers can start from a few hundred pounds. For full wedding floristry including ceremony flowers, reception tables, top table and venue décor, our weddings realistically start from around £5,000 + VAT.
At £10,000 we can create significantly more impact and statement pieces. At £15,000–£20,000+, we're increasingly designing the whole environment with greater flower density, larger installations and multiple focal points.
Every wedding is different. These are honest guide prices, not fixed packages.

Once we move into staircases, fireplaces, suspended flowers and large-scale structures, we're no longer simply arranging flowers in a vase. These pieces often need to be designed, built, installed and later dismantled.

What Can £5,000 of Wedding Flowers Actually Look Like?
Imagine around 80 guests, eight reception tables and a floral budget of £5,000 + VAT. Rather than spreading the money thinly across everything, this is roughly where I'd put it.

USE THE FLOWERS TWICE
After the ceremony, I'd move the two large urn arrangements behind the top table and use the aisle flowers to dress the floor in front of it. The ceremony flowers now create a completely different focal point for dinner.
IF I FOUND AN EXTRA £500…
I'd put it on the top table. It's one of the main focal points of the reception and appears in so many photographs. I'd rather make a spectacle of that than dilute £500 across lots of smaller details.
IF WE NEEDED TO SAVE £500…
I'd change the flower recipe before removing arrangements — fewer premium hero flowers and more beautiful seasonal supporting flowers and foliage. Keep the overall scale rather than leaving obvious gaps.
Good wedding floristry isn't about getting the maximum number of arrangements. It's about putting the budget where the flowers will make the biggest difference.
What Changes When the Wedding Flower Budget Gets Bigger?
£7,500 — MORE OPTIONS
Greater flower density, more premium flowers or another focal point. But a complicated London venue or short installation window may mean additional budget goes into the florists and logistics required to make everything happen.
£10,000 — STATEMENT TERRITORY
I'd consider all tall table arrangements, a much stronger top table and a major statement piece. Then I'd look at the venue itself — perhaps a fireplace, staircase or architectural feature that could become an incredible photograph.
£15,000–£20,000+ — FLOWER DENSITY CHANGES EVERYTHING
At this level the wedding can become much more flower-rich: fewer fillers, less reliance on foliage, more premium flowers, larger structures, more candlelight and multiple statement areas.
An all-white wedding packed with hydrangeas, premium roses and orchids is completely different in cost from arrangements using reflexed roses, seasonal flowers and abundant foliage. Both can look gorgeous; they simply require very different budgets.
More budget doesn't always mean more things. Sometimes it means making the important things extraordinary.
What Pinterest Doesn't Tell You About Wedding Flowers
When you see a finished wedding on Instagram or Pinterest, you're seeing the flowers — not everything that had to happen to get them there.
For a London wedding, the flowers themselves can be only part of the story.
Why does wedding flower installation cost so much?
Delivery, unloading, parking, venue access, equipment, florists, installation and returning after the wedding to dismantle everything all have a cost.
And one of the biggest factors is time.
8 HOURS TO INSTALL
A smaller team may be able to build the wedding steadily throughout the day.
2 HOURS TO INSTALL
We may need an army of florists arriving simultaneously to achieve exactly the same result.
A shorter installation window doesn't necessarily make the wedding cheaper. Quite often, it makes it more expensive.
London adds its own complications

Service entrances
Security checks
Goods lifts
Stairs and difficult access
Multiple venues
Strict setup deadlines
Late-night removal
None of these things makes a wedding impossible. Almost anything is achievable. But every additional logistical requirement needs people, vehicles, equipment or time — and each has a cost attached to it.
Our typical setup costs
Installation is often approximately 10% of the floral budget.
Removal and breakdown can be approximately another 10%.
Delivery is normally calculated at approximately £1.50 per mile from our studio.
These are planning guides rather than fixed charges because particularly simple or complicated weddings will differ.
Give us a full day and we may need a small team. Give us two hours and we may need an army.
When comparing wedding flower quotations, make sure you're comparing more than the number of arrangements. Ask what's included in delivery, installation, staffing and removal too.
Where I'd Spend Your Wedding Flower Budget
If the budget isn't unlimited, don't try to flower absolutely everything. I'd rather put the money into the places people notice, photograph and remember.

THE TOP TABLE
This is nearly always my priority. The couple spend a huge part of the reception here and it's in photograph after photograph.
I'd rather make a spectacle of the top table and simplify some of the guest tables than spread the flower budget so thinly that nothing really has impact.

THE CEREMONY
It's one of the emotional and photographic focal points of the day. Design it intelligently and urns, meadows and other ceremony flowers can often be repurposed afterwards.

THE ARCHITECTURE
Look at what's already in the venue.
A staircase covered in flowers can create extraordinary photographs. The same applies to a fireplace, entrance or another architectural feature that naturally draws the eye.
Don't decorate something simply because it's there. Spend money on the places that can become part of the wedding.

ONE GREAT STATEMENT
One extraordinary floral moment can have considerably more impact than twenty little arrangements nobody particularly notices.
Sometimes the smartest thing we can do with a budget is deliberately leave certain areas restrained so somewhere else can be spectacular.
"Think about where the photograph is going to be."
That's often the question I ask when deciding where your flower budget will work hardest.
Choosing Your Wedding Flowers: Don't Write a Shopping List
Of course you should tell me the flowers you love. But personally, I wouldn't prescribe every single stem months before the wedding.
Choose one or two hero flowers
I normally ask couples to choose their colour palette and perhaps one or two flowers they particularly love. Then I build the rest of the recipe around those choices using what's seasonal, available and looking exceptional at the time.
That flexibility can give you considerably more for your money — and often a better-looking wedding.
Flowers have fashions too
Calla lilies are a perfect example. White and lime-green calla lilies became extraordinarily expensive during 2026 as they came strongly back into fashion.
Market prices change as demand and supply change, so I wouldn't promise that a particular flower will cost next year what it costs today.
All-white doesn't automatically mean simple
A dense all-white arrangement packed with hydrangeas, premium roses and orchids, with virtually no foliage, can be extremely expensive.
But an arrangement using beautifully reflexed roses, seasonal berries, supporting flowers and gorgeous foliage can still look abundant and considered for considerably less.
It's not simply the colour that determines the price. It's the flower recipe and density.
What if a flower isn't looking good?
I'd rather change the recipe than use a disappointing flower simply because its name appeared on a proposal months earlier.
We can usually confirm important varieties around two weeks before the wedding, while final buying and recipe decisions may continue until approximately four days beforehand.
Give me the colour, the feeling and one or two flowers you love. Then let me buy what's beautiful.
You're commissioning a florist, not ordering flowers from a catalogue. A little creative freedom lets us respond to the season, the market and your venue — and that's often when the best work happens.
Use Your Wedding Flowers More Than Once
Some of the smartest wedding flower planning isn't about buying more flowers. It's about making the flowers you've already paid for work harder.
What can we repurpose?
Ceremony urns are perfect candidates. After the ceremony, we can often move them behind or alongside the top table, to an entrance or another important reception area.
Aisle meadows can also be incredibly useful. They might begin the day lining the ceremony and later be repositioned along the front of the top table.
Suddenly the same flowers have created two completely different moments.
But I wouldn't move everything
Huge arches and major structural installations are different.
Once something has been engineered, constructed and covered in flowers, dismantling it, transporting it and rebuilding it during the wedding can require so much labour that any supposed saving disappears.
Repurposing should either save money or improve the design. Otherwise we're simply paying people to move flowers around.
Use flowers twice when it makes sense — not simply because we can.
There's more to designing an aisle than choosing flowers
One of the first things I want to know is how your guests actually get to their seats.
Guests enter from the sides
If guests can reach their chairs without walking along the central aisle, we can potentially create an almost continuous meadow of flowers running down it.
Guests use the central aisle
If everyone needs to walk up the aisle, we need breaks. We might place flowers at alternate chair rows, mix floral sections with groups of candles, or create larger floral moments at the beginning and ceremony end with smaller details between.
The photograph you've saved may be beautiful, but the layout of your actual venue determines whether that design will work. Good wedding floristry starts with the room, not Pinterest.
Flowers, Candlelight & What Happens Afterwards
Flowers are only part of how a room feels. Candlelight can completely change a table — and sometimes it's a much smarter place to spend the budget than simply adding more flowers.

Don't underestimate candlelight
If the flower budget is limited, I'd rather simplify some guest-table flowers and use plenty of candlelight than spread the floral budget too thinly.
The top table is different. That's somewhere I always want to create a proper focal point.
Not every table needs masses of flowers. Sometimes flowers and a lot of candlelight do the job beautifully.
What happens to the flowers after the wedding?
Where agreed, guests are welcome to take many of the flowers home.
Bud vases and many low table arrangements can often leave with guests rather than the flowers simply being thrown away.
Anything that can sensibly be taken and isn't part of our hire stock can usually continue being enjoyed after the wedding.
What needs to stay?
Hire pieces such as candlesticks, candle holders and structural equipment remain with London Event Florist and are collected during breakdown.
If you'd particularly like guests to take arrangements home, tell us while we're designing the wedding. We can take that into account when choosing the vessels and mechanics.
From First Conversation to Wedding Day
Wedding flowers are personal, so everything starts with a conversation. I want to understand the venue, the way you're using the space, your colour palette, what matters to you — and, importantly, where your budget will make the biggest difference.
01 — INITIAL CONSULTATION
Your initial consultation is completely complimentary. We'll talk through your wedding, venue, guest numbers, ideas and approximate budget before putting together a proposal.
02 — YOUR PROPOSAL
We'll develop the floral direction and provide a quotation based on what we've discussed. There are no fixed wedding packages because every venue, brief and wedding is different.
03 — SECURING THE DATE
Once you're happy with the quotation, a 25% deposit secures the booking. The final balance is due one month before the wedding.
04 — FLOWER CHOICES
We'll agree the overall palette, style and important flowers well in advance. Particular flower varieties can generally be confirmed around two weeks before the wedding, while final buying decisions may continue until approximately four days beforehand so we can respond to flower quality and availability.
05 — SAMPLING
Flower sampling is complimentary for weddings over £10,000. For weddings below £10,000, sampling can be arranged for an additional charge.
06 — THE WEDDING DAY
Warren remains personally involved throughout the design process, chooses the flower recipes, makes much of the floristry himself and personally leads the major structures and installations.
