We never really think of ceremony flowers and reception flowers as two separate things. They are different parts of the same day, and the best weddings have a sense of continuity as you move from one space to the next.
We look at the architecture of your venue, where your guests will arrive, where the ceremony takes place and how the reception will unfold afterwards. From there, we work out where flowers will have the greatest impact and how each element can connect naturally with the next.
The result shouldn’t feel like a collection of arrangements that have simply been ordered from a list. It should feel like the flowers belong to the wedding.
THE RECEPTION
Once guests move through to dinner, the flowers need to work differently. This is where we consider the room as a whole — the tables, ceiling height, fireplaces, staircases, bars and all the architectural details that make the venue interesting.
Some rooms need height and drama. Others are much more beautiful with flowers kept low, loose and intimate. Often we’ll use a mixture of both.
The important thing is that the room still feels like your wedding rather than simply a beautifully decorated dining room.
